Nothing Compares To Freedom

All true spirituality seeks to free us from any type of slavery that
 prevents us from moving along the path and becoming a more loving
 and lovable person. A valuable exercise to make a regular part
 of our prayer, reflection, and self- analysis is to seek out and identify
 areas of addiction and slavery in our lives. They will not go
 away simply by ignoring them. Every day they will become more
 powerful until we confront them.

 Nothing compares to the freedom of being able to choose the-best-
 version- of- yourself in the moments of the day. I want that
 freedom in all things. It is a liberation that nobody can ever take
 from you. It is the freedom to choose what is good, true, noble,
 beautiful, and right. I find myself agreeing with Charles Dickens
 when he wrote, “I only ask to be free. The butterflies are free.”
